This is a typical snack and shot bar - a very Polish phenomenon that swept the country in recent years. These trendy, formulaic budget bars cash in on communist nostalgia and the appeal of low prices by offering a wide range of spirits and a small selection of simple, local appetisers, known as „Polish Tapas” - such as a „Marinated herring”, „Beef tartar”, „Pork/chicken jelly”, „bread and lard”, „Bigos” (a hunter’s stew), goulsh or a selection of soups. All served for around 10 (-ish) PLN each. Very popular among local and foreign students, quite often open until early morning hours.

C’est un endroit mythique directement sorti des années 70. On y vient pour boire, la nourriture n’est là que pour faire passer les verres de vodka. ( « zakąska » veut dire mise en bouche /hors d’œuvre /collation). En effet, l’art de résister à la vodka est de manger en buvant … Tout polonais expérimenté commence pour manger avant d’attaquer… On vient ici pour l’ambiance .. hors du temps. Pour Pani ( Madame) Ania et un hareng accompagné d’un verre ou deux.. Ne convient pas à ceux qui recherchent un endroit chassieux, calme ou familial. La délicatesse de mœurs et des plats n’est pas au programme. Endroit authentique, pas du tout influencé par le tourisme de masse du quartier , pas de chichi , pas de déco, Ici c’est à la bonne franquette : à prendre ou à laisser. Ouvert tard dans la nuit . Snobs, ( et même bobo ) s’abstenir.
