Matejuška is a great place to have a beer with the locals! Of course you will buy your beer at the small beer shop - Mali dućan (don't let the size fool you - it's got a wide range of local and foreign beers).

The local young people go there in night to have a drink, talk, look at the sea and sometimes play guitar or sing. Grab a beer from a local store and enjoy like you are from Split :)

“Go here, take čevapi (chevapi) with onion and chese OR ajvar - pepper source. One of the oldest street food in these parts. It has I think turkish/bosnian roots, but its been here for so long it became our local food. Its meat - minced veal shaped like small sticks, I think they call them baby veal fingers :) Best for hungover :)”
