MD C&O Canal has the best Hikes for the adventurous & athletic! Billy Goat trail A is our favorite but they are all nice. Also a towpath and over look of the falls for people with strollers!

While the historic tavern provides an easy to find locator for your GPS, the real reason to come here is to view the impressive waterfall on the Potomac River. This 1/3 mile hike takes you along the once thriving B&O Canal and on to an island on the Potomac River where you'll be surrounded by roaring falls and stunning scenery. In the afternoon, you might be lucky to see kayaks braving the white water. Usually a $10 parking fee.
