We always have a jolly time at this landscaped water-and-sand play area, which you can access from the Westfield Stratford shopping centre. There are big slides and high rope bridges—all in a natural setting with stunning wildflower plantings. The Olympic Park is pedestrianised, pathways are broad, and it feels very safe. The nearby Timber Lodge Cafe has good coffee to pep up parents, sandwiches, and snacks. Or, if everyone is still in a good mood, extend your outing with a 10-minute walk to the charming East Village E20, where I love kid-friendly Hand cafe and the creative kids’ clothes shop Olive Loves Alfie East.

This is a playground for kids who are capable of climbing obstacles and are strong enough for a bit of adventure. Within walking distance from the flat.
The Tumbling Playground in the Olympic park is great. Full of sand and water, so kids might need a change of clothing. The is a kid friendly cafe and toilets next door and lots of other things to look at and do in the Olympic park. You can get the bus the 97 bus there.
At the north end of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, this state-of-the-art playground has plenty for children of all ages to explore and discover, from a hidden piano, nest-like dens, wobbly walkways and an elaborate sequence of sand and water diggers and pulleys. The Timber Lodge cafe serves excellent coffee and a selection of healthy lunches.
