As a medicine woman, I'll help guide you inward towards a calm and grounding state of mind through the magic of plant medicine. • Before we began making, we'll ground and center ourselves with a deep drum cleansing and an herbal tea, that we make in-house and you can sip on throughout the experience. • You'll learn the basic of formulating with essential oils and then I’ll show you how to select ones based on their medicinal and magical qualities to soothe and enhance your well-being. You’ll discover the power of plants using your olfactory system, while learning the history of working with plant essences and their use in ancient healing and ceremonial ritual practices. • Now it’s your turn! Create your own Pacific Northwest-inspired formula that relaxes your spirit while traveling, in meditation, during stressful times or just when you need to take a moment to breathe and reset. Create a unique collage using curated images of the Pacific Northwest while learning techniques I use in my own work. We’ll explore cutting methods, composition, and minimalist design, drawing inspiration from Portland’s iconography and your own experiences in the city. We will be meeting at the beautiful makerspace and shop Makerspace Sellwood in Portland, Oregon. • Begin by looking at my collages and discussing techniques, from selecting source material to layering and composition. Choose from a selection of maps, travel guides, local magazines, and vintage photos to craft a piece that reflects your time in Portland. • Chat about the places you’ve explored, using conversation to inspire image selection. I’ll offer guidance and feedback as you piece together your collage, encouraging a collaborative and engaging creative space. • All materials are provided, along with tea or kombucha to enjoy as we create. We’ll wrap up by sharing our finished work, reflecting on the creative process, and taking home a one-of-a-kind collage that captures your Portland experience.

I’ll show you its history and highlights at my favorite coffee shops, art galleries, landmarks, and vintage shops. • Meet at Heart for introductions and the neighborhood’s best coffee and then stroll to Nationale, an art gallery and bookshop that showcases emerging artists. • I’ll share the stories behind Burnside Street’s landmarks, including the Art Deco Laurelhurst Theater, and answer any Portland-related questions you may have as we wander up 28th Avenue. • Pop into Olo to chat with the designers of locally made perfumes, browse the vintage collection at Goodbye Horses, and discuss what you’ve seen over margaritas and snacks at Güero. Each person gets 1 hour on the wheel. This experience can be up to 4 people. If it's for one person, book for one slot. If there are two, please book two slots. etc. I will start the instruction by explaining the main principles of wheel throwing techniques with step by step instructions. You will have enough time to make 2 pieces depending on what you choose to create. Some great first project ideas include: mug, bowl, etc. You might get muddy!

During this interactive session I’ll teach you the basics of canning and preserving. You’ll learn how to water-bath and can delicious local produce in new and unique combinations. I’ll also teach you how to make brine, pack your jars properly, sterilize equipment, and ensure that your produce is properly sealed. Of course, we’ll take breaks to enjoy some local snacks and taste some hot sauces, made right here. You’ll get to take home your own jar of the canned creation to share with friends and family. Other things to note All canning supplies and produce will be provided.

Meet downtown and head to the Columbia Gorge to enjoy 3 amazing waterfalls. All of the waterfalls are located in the Columbia Gorge which is about 30 mins outside of Portland. Each of the hikes will be about a mile or less. We will have the opportunity to get as close as you like to the falls and learn about this amazing part of the world. This experience is appropriate for all fitness levels. Other things to note It might be a good idea to bring some shoes with decent traction but it's not absolutely necessary. We will be traveling through the Historic Columbia River Highway, which was completed in 1915 and is now considered a National Historic Landmark. We will see 3 amazing waterfalls all within the Columbia Gorge. We will also stop by the Vista House. -Latourell falls- At 249 feet, it is a .4 mile hike roundtrip. -Bridal Veil falls- At 118 feet, it is a 1.4 mile hike roundtrip. -Multnomah Falls- At 620, is is a .4 miles hike roundtrip.

Beginner's glass blowing lessons in Portland, Oregon

Ever been interested in trying your hand at blowing glass? Join me in my flameworking studio and learn how to make your first piece of glass art at Chadly Glass Studio! I’m a professional borosilicate glass blower with over 10 years of experience and offer hands-on, beginner's classes in inner SE Portland. In this introductory group class, students will be taught basic glass blowing safety, skills, and will have the opportunity to create 2-3 pieces of glass art: a mushroom sculpture, wine bottle stopper or pendant, and a small blown ornament. This class may be shared with other individuals (up to 6 participants per class). Class duration is approximately 3 hours. Students get to keep any glass they create, and gain knowledge and hands-on experience in a very unique field. *Glass made during lesson will require kilning for durability, which takes a minimum of 4 hours. Most students choose to pick up the glass they made the next day (or at their earliest convenience).* ** Participants are required to sign a liability waiver prior to instruction. Minimum age requirement is 14 years old. Participants between ages 14-17 must have their parent/guardian present for the duration of the class. Classes are open to people of all skill levels and abilities! However, dexterity in both hands and the ability to recall important safety instruction for the duration of class is crucial.

Immersive Chinese tea experience in a private tea house

Immersive tea tasting in our little tea house, featuring different tabletop flower arrangements and aromatherapy every week!. There will be Chinese style tea art demonstrations and on certain holidays Guzheng ( Chinese musical instrument) performances. Guests will choose between black tea, oolong tea, yellow tea, green tea, dark tea and scented teas from China at different tea tasting times. I have been in touch with tea since I was 10 years of age and it has always been a part of my life. I am a landscape architect and an enthusiastic tea artist. After I moved to America, my partner and husband Joseph singlehandedly built the tea house for me, according to my design. Everything including the slab table was made by Joseph over a period of two years. Now I would like to share with others this tea house full of love energy and my love of Chinese tea, the etiquette of drinking tea and interesting stories of China. Portland River Boat Tours

We will take you on a 2 hour scenic boat ride up north or down south on the picturesque Willamette River. Pets are always welcome! Maximum of 6 total passangers. You can bring your own foods, wines, spirits, and coffee! 7:00 am tour. We cruise around the Ross Island natural area and seek out all forms of wild life! On any given tour we see bald eagles, osprey, blue heron, deer, turtles, otters, and beavers! During the fishing season we may even see a sea lions chasing a salmon! Tours starting at 9:00 am, 11:00 am, 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm, for these tours we offer our clients a choice in travel direction. We can cruise the river in either direction, north or south! -If we head south, we will see Portland and Lake Oswego’s most beautiful homes, plenty of wildlife such as osprey, bald eagles, river otters, beavers, sea lions, and the Willamette Falls in Oregon City! -If we head north, we will view Portland's 9 unique and historical bridges, nature, the city skyline, and the Port of Portland. From here we will get up close to ocean going ships, drydocks and see the shipping yards from the water. Tours starting at 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm are the sunset cruises! On these cruises we see the Portland city bridges, Portland’s historical floating homes, movie props, sunsets over the city, and Oaks Bottom natural area. We have a covered boat. Rain or Shine!

Multnomah Falls Columbia Gorge Waterfall Tour to Six Falls

We’re experiencing the best of the Columbia River Gorge on this waterfall tour. I’ll pick you up in Downtown Portland (or you can meet us at our Gresham location closer to the Waterfalls) and we’ll explore under the basalt cliffs in our big window van as we hop out to explore 6 waterfalls with short hikes. Get big views of the Columbia River Gorge throughout the route and especially at the Crown Point Vista House where we see the gorge lit at the golden hour on our nightly sunset tours. The experience is fun for anyone who loves beautiful views and waterfalls. Stops: Horsetail Falls Multnomah Falls Wahkeena Falls Bridal Veil Falls Shepperds Dell Latourell Falls Crown Point Vista House This is an active tour, of the 3.5 hours you'll be in the bus for less than an hour and exploring the beautiful parks surrounding the waterfalls for most of the tour. Downtown Portland pick up available at all Downtown and Convention Center hotels. You can uber or transit to one even if you're not staying there. Our Gresham location is 15 minutes East of downtown and is just on the West end of our waterfall route at 18188 NE Wilkes Road, Portland OR
