The Boathouse

We call it the Boathouse, but it could just as easily be called the treehouse. It sits just feet from a tidal creek amidst giant live oak trees. A short dock is right outside the door, so bring your kayaks or other small craft. Although cozy, it offers everything a simple cottage should. Shem Creek is minutes away, as are the beaches. Patriot's Point and the Ravenel Bridge are a short walk away. This is the closest residential neighborhood to Charleston that you will find in Mt Pleasant. 567068

Historic Kitchen House - South of Broad (Charming)

The Rutledge Kitchen House is located at the southernmost tip of the peninsula in the historic "South of Broad" neighborhood and is surrounded by many antebellum mansions. Walk to the Battery, Rainbow Row, King Street, the Calhoun Mansion, the Heyward Washington House, shops, museums, and restaurants. Stroll to White Point Garden to see the sunset over the harbor. Quintessential Folly layout - a huge front porch, capturing the ocean breeze, living room flanked with two bedrooms, both of which have queen beds and each with en-suite full bath. A light filled kitchen with new appliances and all amenities to whip up a meal on vacation. Only a short walk or bike ride to Center Street for great restaurants and shops. Charleston is less than a 15 minute drive.

Pelican's Porch on Folly Beach-Oceanview

Located directly across from beach with a path to our front yard. Comfortable beach house, tastefully decorated on the West end of the island with large deck overlooking the ocean. The short sandy beach path is right out the front door. The home has ocean views and peaks of the river to the rear. View both sunrises and sunsets on this end of island. 9 blocks from the vibrant , eclectic center of town is where you'll find locally owned cafes, restaurants, stores, bars and the pier.

The Spot

Close to Folly and downtown Charleston in an established and charming waterfront neighborhood. Very safe with two parks, one being a Civil war battle site, all surrounded by majestic live oaks, salt water marshes, creeks and rivers. There is wonderful bird watching as well as great fishing and crabbing. Surf is up at Folly Beach just down the road and downtown Charleston is a ten minute drive. The bed pictured is a queen size and the sofa pulls out into a full size bed.
