Learn about fermentation and sustainable agriculture at Fattoria Bucolica, an urban farm where my family produces olive oil, wheat, eggs, aromatic herbs, jams, pickled vegetables, and creative drinks. Join me, an artist and illustrator, for a hands-on collage postcard workshop using photography of Rome’s landmarks to create a unique souvenir of your visit. • We’ll meet at Antiquario San Lorenzo, an arts and cultural center near the city walls. I’ll begin with a presentation of my art work and explain how my collaging technique focuses on colors and shapes. • Next, you’ll try your own hand at collaging: painting patterns of colors that remind you of city scenes, cutting up images, and designing your very own postcard. Immerse yourself in the Tuscan countryside with 3 different experiences! We'll meet in Florence, where a driver will take you to our farm in just 45 minutes. What will we do? 1) Walk among country fields, ancient olive trees and vineyards, enjoy the landscape, the plants, the explanation of our history with plenty of opportunities to capture stunning photos.  You may even meet our friendly, domesticated pig! In September taste the grapes! 2) Visit the cellar and taste 5 organic Tuscan wines: white, red, aged straight from the barrel, and "Vin Santo" a classic sweet wine. You’ll also sample our premium olive oil and watch a short film about our mission. You'll have the chance to purchase wines at exclusive cellar prices or order them to ship. 3) The final part is all about making fresh pasta! Raffaella or Laura will teach you how to craft it using authentic techniques, then cook all your pasta together (it won't be possible to do individual cooking) to enjoy it as a group at a long table, just like a traditional Italian family.
