Capture the essence of Tulum through cyanotype printing with me, a professional artist and printmaker, in this unique workshop. You’ll connect with your surroundings and create a one-of-a-kind memory of your journey. • Meet at Bacab Gallery, where I’ll explain the process, history and technique of cyanotype, a camera-free printing technique that uses light-sensitive salts to create striking blue images. • Arrange your collected objects—maybe a feather, flower, beach pebble, or leaf—on handmade cotton or pine paper from Veracruz. I’ll guide you through composition techniques to make the artwork. • Coat the paper with a special solution and expose it to sunlight (or UV light, if the sun isn’t cooperating) and watch the transformation as your design turns into a rich blue. After rinsing and drying it, reflect on your masterpiece. You’ll leave with a personal artwork, and recommendations for how to frame and preserve your new creation.

Recorre Mérida en bicicleta con un guía e historiador local

You will enjoy a two and a half hour bike ride in a safe, fun and unhurried way in one of the most beautiful and peaceful cities in the world: Mérida. We will start at Paseo Montejo avenue to pick up our bicycles and ride through bicycles lanes where I will tell you the secret history of the beautiful mansions and the explanation of the monuments found on this boulevard. We will head to the historic center, pausing for a refreshing fruit drink at my favorite place. Then we will continue to the new and amazing park of “La “Plancha” just three minutes away from Montejo through the gastronomic 47 street. You will learn about the history of railroads and henequén there. On our way, I will give you my personal recommendation of the most relaxed, beautiful, not so expensive places to eat, have a drink and listen to good live music.

We will go in an adventure into the Sian Ka'an Bioshpere Reserve located 15 minutes south of Tulum. We will get immersed in the Mayan jungle and experience its liveliness and history. First we will access the Reserve through the Muyil archaeological site which is one of the oldest Mayan cities in the area. We will see the Mayan Temples and walk the jungle trails through the ruins and the lookout spot. Then we will hop on a boat and sail into the Chunyaxché lagoon through commercial routes used by the Mayans. We will then jump in a stream of clear and fresh water where we will float through the mangrove. Other things to note We are visiting a Protected Area. We'll try to contemplate nature in a respectful manner without harming the habitat. Please avoid sunscreen and repellent unless bio-compatible.

Si eres un amante del café, sabes que existen muchas formas diferentes de prepararlo y disfrutarlo, pero en este curso nos enfocaremos en la preparación de café a través de la tostada, el molido y el famoso método de goteo. Sin embargo, el café ha sido parte importante de la cultura y la historia de muchos otros países, incluyendo a México y a las antiguas culturas mayas. Cada participante recibira una porcion de cafe verde. Los granos de café verde son los que se utilizan para el proceso de tostado, durante el cual adquieren su color marrón característico y desarrollan los sabores y aromas que asociamos con el café tostado. el cual con utensilios especiales tostaremos nuestro propio café y conoceremos la importancia del tostado. También aprenderemos sobre el molido del café, desde cómo moler los granos hasta cómo elegir el grosor del molido para lograr el sabor deseado. Y, por último, exploraremos uno de los diferentes métodos de filtrado, el filtro de goteo , para la preparacion de nuestro cafe Al finalizar este curso, tendrás los conocimientos necesarios para preparar un delicioso café en casa y podrás compartir tu experiencia con tus familiares y amigos.

Conoce en bicicleta tres cenotes ocultos en el Mayab

Durante esta experiencia que comienza en la comunidad maya hablante de Abala, visitaremos el entorno natural y cultural del bello estado de Yucatán, a través de cómodos y espectaculares senderos silvestres, desbordantes en naturaleza, vestigios prehispánicos olvidados por el tiempo en la inmensidad de la selva Maya y que conducen a tres bellos cenotes, cada uno con formaciones y bóvedas muy diferentes entre ellos como capricho de la naturaleza, que esperan a sus visitantes para refrescarlos en sus cristalinas y frescas aguas y con los cuales nos encontraremos uno por uno a lo largo de nuestro camino de diez kilómetros de longitud, para darle gusto a nuestros sentidos.
