Step aboard Venice’s last surviving vintage wooden postal boat from the 1950s, a masterpiece of maritime history, and journey through the Venetian Lagoon’s less-traveled waterways. • I’ll share stories of the city’s history, show you breathtaking scenery, and invite you to witness hidden gems and family traditions. • Glide through peaceful, secluded channels, passing iconic landmarks like Murano’s famed glass blowing workshops and Mazzorbo’s serene vineyards. • Immerse yourself in charming Burano, where you’ll stop for an exclusive lace-making demonstration by my 81-year-old great aunt and savor freshly baked Bussolà pastries, lovingly prepared by her sister. On the way back, the magnificence of St. Mark’s Square will unfold like a cinematic moment, a perfect finale to a journey that captures the essence of Venice’s renowned beauty.

Explore Venice’s vintage hand-lettered signs and typographical history on a walk with a calligrapher and graphic designer, learning about a rich local tradition that dates back to figures like the 15th-century printer Aldus Manutius. • I’ll guide you to some of the city’s most enduring businesses, each displaying a hand-decorated sign infused with its own history. • See the names of delicatessens, cafes, and cocktail bars beautifully rendered in wood, wrought iron, and reverse-painted glass, and hear about the craftsmen behind the work. • At each stop, discuss the sign’s typographic style, techniques, and materials. I’ll show you how to look for hidden details cherished by locals. You’ll leave with an eye for typographic details and the stories they represent, as well as a card featuring a lettering composition inspired by the designs we’ve seen.

Explore the lagoon in a historic rowing boat

Explore the northern reaches of the Venetian Lagoon by rowing boat with me, a rowing expert, and discover a serene environment of wetlands and shallow waters impossible to see from a motorboat. • Meet at a private rowing club, where I’ll introduce the art of Venetian rowing. You’ll then board a traditional vessel—a gondola, sanpierota, batea, or caorlina, depending on the number of guests. • Row to the islands of Murano and Certosa, stopping for a short walk. I’ll share insights into this peaceful environment and its fascinating history. • You’ll safely practice rowing yourself, gaining a deeper appreciation for the unique design of Venetian boats and traditional rowing techniques. By the time we return to the rowing club, you’ll have acquired some new rowing skills and a whole new perspective on the city.

E-bike the hills of Montello

Cruise on an e-bike through the scenic Montello hills, once the lifeblood of Venice’s shipyards, now a land of rolling vineyards and fine Prosecco. We’ll pedal along forested trails and sunlit slopes, embracing the region’s rich nature. • I’ll welcome you at our restaurant, equip you with a properly sized e-bike and helmet, and help you get comfortable with both. A headset may be provided for communication during our ride. • Ride along scenic paths to past historic World War I sites, including the British Cemetery, and Prosecco vineyards before reconnecting with the path along the Piave River. When we arrive back at our starting point, we’ll share our reflections on our ride and take a group photo. By the end of our time together, you’ll leave with an enhanced sense of Montello’s beauty and history, and the Prosecco hills.

During the 2.5 hours experience you will taste best street food Venice has to offer while you stroll around the hidden gems that only a local could know. Feel the atmosphere of the hustle and bustle Rialto Market, which has been whetting appetites for seven centuries. Be rewarded while you taste local specialties and admire colorful seasonal products. Enjoy all the amazing monuments and district in the city together with me! Do not miss the chance to admire some of the main sights of the city, such as Campo San Polo, Basilica dei Frari, Campo San Bartolomeo and more. Sink your teeth on the finest cheese made by locals, traditional pastries, and the famous Venetian tapas, known as cicchetti, snacks or side dishes, typically served in traditional "bàcari" (venetian bars) loved by locals when they think about relaxing or having a “happy hour” after work with friends. Prepare to feast and be regaled by wonders of art, history and food! Together with me you might meet my team of local guides: Ana, Iola, Vanessa and Denys! Please note: I CAN accomodate vegetarians. Please advise at the time of booking if you require vegetarian options. This experience cannot accomodate vegan, gluten or dairy-free diets. Drinks are not included. Sali a bordo della nostra barca, uno storico Bragozzo veneziano completamente restaurato per ospitare piccoli gruppi di ospiti. Partiremo dalla Chiesa di San Lazzaro dei Mendicanti nel lato nord della città e costeggiando l'Arsenale di Venezia andremo a visitare il sestiere di Castello, una delle parti più antiche della città. Faremo una piccola sosta davanti la chiesa di San Pietro di Castello per un aperitivo e poi si prosegue fino alla parte sud della città dove avremmo una vista panoramica di San Marco, Lido di Venezia e delle piccole isole della laguna sud. Rientreremo poi nei canali di Castello fino a tornare nel punto di incontro. MPORTANTE: Lagoonexperience é un progetto dell' associazione Venice Sport Center. L'esperienza è riservata ai soli soci, è necessario inviare per tempo copia dei propri documenti di identità per il rilascio della tessera associativa e dell'assicurazione (incluse nella quota associativa). A bordo della mia 'sanpierotta' ( barca in legno a motore, tipica dei pescatori lagunari) chi si imbarca diventa un compagno di viaggio... viaggio che, attraverso i luoghi del presente esplora le storie del passato, girovagando e conversando per un'ora e mezzo, vedrete Venezia dalla prospettiva dell'acqua, elemento che permea ogni cosa e in cui ci si deve immergere per capire un po' meglio questa particolarissima città. Altre cose da tenere a mente: Previo accordo, possibilità di essere imbarcati anche a Venezia. Su richiesta, si possono programmare esperienze private non in programma. Tariffa speciale per famiglie con bambini.

The tour will last approximately 85 minutes. The main aim of this experience is to take you away from all of the overcrowded areas and to let you admire and appreciate the real Venice in a more intimate and fun environment, guided by a native Venetian! Be prepared to be WOWED by the mysterious and romantic atmosphere that surrounds the canals and gives to the city a unique touch that not many people get to experience. During the tour I am going to guide you through the non-turistic areas where just mostly locals go and I will tell you some Venice history and stories that are part of the local culture. However, during the tour we will also pass in front of all the famous historical sites like: St. Mark Square, bridge of sights, Doge Palace and Salute Curch. Other things to note If you easily get seasick, this might not be recommended for you, but keep in mind that among canals rough sea almost impossible to find. Remember to go to the toilet before getting onboard!

Best friend of every Venetian since 1895 when started its unbeatable service! (At 9am an early intimate, unforgettable and relaxing lagoon trip :) Best thing We'll explore Torcello, 17 century ago the first Venice community. Today the last 9 locals are still living inside a "dark ages city" where everything is like a lot of centuries ago.. From the top of their Romanic Tower you’ll enjoy a stunning view of the Venice’s lagoon! At what about the second amazing trip to Burano, the fashinating colorful town, fishers community famous for its millenial lacemaking industry? You will see one of the last Lace Factory where the last old lacers are still doing this very ancient handmade tradition! I'm sure: You'll love them! In the end We will visit the world famous Murano, where the last 20 families are still producing our amazing glass masterpieces like 1000 years ago! Walking tour will be across the “Glasser’s street”: we’ll explore a real Glass Factory with its family Art Gallery seeing Masters working! The first and original Aperitif on the Lagoon. You will get on my "topa" boat and you will experience a great Venetian aperitivo with a stunning view of Venice from the outer lagoon and its magic islands :) As soon as we start cruising, I'll start serving you drinks and snacks. The experience will last about 1 hour and a half and you will get to see its most iconic views (San Marco, Giudecca, Lido di Venezia and much more). At the end of this experience I will drop you off at the same spot where I picked you up. This experience is perfect for anyone: singles, couples, families and groups of friends. Other things to note Remember to go to the toilet before getting onboard!
