An oasis of calm near Amsterdam

Please read the advertisement carefully before booking. I would love to make you welcome in our wonderful home in Hoogedijk. Our home is a completely renovated dike house from 1889, and your room has beautiful views of the Gouwzee and in the evening, you can see the lights of Monnickendam. After a good night's rest, you will enjoy your own wonderful waterfront terrace. Your apartment has its own entrance and is on the second floor of our beautiful house. Be aware that there is NO kitchen.

Heerlijk huis met tuin vlakbij Amsterdam

In het oude karakteristieke Broek in Waterland nabij de kerk, in een nieuw gebouwde schuur achter de boerderij. Met eigen toegang (zelf in-check) een split-level met slaapgedeelte en tuin. Op de begane grond (24 m2) is een woonkamer met bank, keukentje met koelkast, twee kookplaten, eethoek en aparte badkamer. Op de vide is de slaapkamer met een 2-persoons bed, genoeg kastruimte en een kledingrek. Goede Wifi aanwezig. Er zijn twee fietsen (Veloretti) te huur (10,- per fiets per dag)

This cosy apartment is a hidden gem in the centre of a peaceful little village but only 15 minutes by bus from Amsterdam central station! This small village has all dutch characteristics. Cute houses, relaxed atmosphere, a local brown cafe and a mini shop. You’ll fall in love with it easily! Walk or cycle along green meadows, cows and farms. From here you can also discover historic towns like Alkmaar, Volendam and Marken. All within a maximum of 30 minutes drive by car or public transport.

Lovely suite in the historic center of Monnickendam. Nice terraces, good restaurants and beautiful nature. Within 20 minutes you are in the center of Amsterdam. You can buy the tickets at the VVV (2 minutes from the cottage) Also the Zaanseschans, Volendam and Marken can be reached within 20 minutes. The VVV, baker and the butcher are around the corner and by bike (you can use ours, we have two) you can cycle through the unique environment.

It's a 2-floor house ideal for a couple or small family. It is located in a residential area in the center of Volendam, in 3-5 minutes walking distance from the most popular places: the old harbour, bars & restaurants, shops, supermarkets, the Volendams museum & Saturday's market. Living in a typical dutch house, but also close to all places of touristic interest is a unique combination that will make your stay fantastic!
