Join me, a food writer, for an in-depth tour of Fitzroy and Collingwood, two of Melbourne’s hippest neighbourhoods, where I’ll introduce you to the best of the city’s eclectic inner north. Be sure to arrive hungry, as there will be plenty of opportunities to grab artisan snacks to eat throughout the tour. • We’ll start at INI, one of my favourite Melbourne coffee spots, known for their chic interior, excellent coffee, and alternative lattes. • Next, we’ll walk along Smith Street, one of Melbourne’s most historic and diverse retail and entertainment strips. I’ll tell you about the area’s history, and more. You’ll learn about some of my favourite nearby places to eat, drink, and shop at. • We’ll stop in at two of Collingwood’s best bakeries, Falco, and Dua Bakehouse, where you can stock up on some of Melbourne’s best baked goods. • After this, we’ll turn onto Johnston Street, and cross into Fitzroy. You’ll learn more about the area, and I’ll show you some street art and tell you about the area’s artistic aspects. • Finally, we’ll head onto Brunswick Street, finishing at the Punter’s Club, one of Melbourne’s best classic Aussie pubs. If it’s a Saturday tour, you’ll also get a chance to explore two nearby markets. At the end of the tour, I’ll give you a list of the places that we visited, along with several other recommendations in the area should you wish to explore more.

Explore the Paris End of Melbourne, known for its European-inspired architecture, tree-lined streets, and sophisticated boutiques, with me, a professional tour guide and French native. • Meet at the General Post Office Building, a historically significant French Second Empire heritage building, where I’ll explain a little about this part of the city’s French influences. • Hear the history of Flinders Street Station, with its French Renaissance arches and domes, as well as French Second Empire design examples like the citadel of the Salvation Army Building. • Browse French-inspired boutiques selling perfume, furniture and art, and sample some of the world’s best croissants and macarons. You’ll leave with an insider’s perspective on Melbourne’s French touch across architecture, food, and shopping.

Play Australian rules football on Melbourne’s famous fields

Visit some of Melbourne’s most celebrated sporting complexes and venues with me, a sports insider, and learn why the city is called “the sporting capital of the world.” At each location, I’ll share its history and teach you how to play Australian rules football and the Indigenous game of marn grook. • We’ll start with a tram ride—just like the locals do—from Federation Square to Melbourne & Olympic Parks, home to seven elite national sporting teams. • Walk through Melbourne Park and its Tennis Center, which is home to the Australian Open, and I’ll tell you all about the history of these world-renowned stadiums, which date back more than 170 years. • At Olympic Park, home of Australian rules football, I’ll give you a few lessons in the basics of Aussie rules, and you’ll get a chance to play the Aboriginal game of marn grook. • Our last stop is Melbourne Cricket Ground, one of the largest sports stadiums in the world and the epicenter of the Australian Football League. Before we part ways, we’ll grab a drink at my favorite bar inside MCG, where I’ll answer questions about the venues and my career, and you can share reflections on your own sporting adventures.

Would you like to see the world famous 12 Apostles minus the annoying crowds? Then this is the experience for you! You'll never forget the first moment you see the 12 Apostles: giant stone monoliths, carved by the raging ocean over millions of years. We'll tell you the story of how these remarkable features evolved. And this journey isn't just about the destination: the Great Ocean Road is Australia's best road trip with rolling hills, lush rainforest and spectacular coastal scenery. We also visit a number of the other features this area has to offer including Gibson Steps, Loch Ard Gorge (upper lookout as beach is currently closed) and the Razorback. We'll make additional stops in: Apollo Bay for lunch - wide range of food available and option to have lunch on the beach! Kennett River where wild koalas hang out Sheoak Waterfalls Lorne, a classic Aussie surf town The 12 Apostles in Port Campbell National Park are almost 200kms from Melbourne so all trips out there involve several hours of driving. Much of the driving is on the Great Ocean Road and the Otways and the scenery is breathtaking. We take the reverse route to avoid the crowds and break up the driving as much as possible. Our premium (but humble) small group experience is made for you :) @hikeandseektours we like to keep it small, so join the group of 8 other awesome travellers for this memorable day adventure. We’ll depart Melbourne and head straight to the famous 12 Apostles before the masses of people arrive. You’ll never forget this view! After the Apostles and Gibson Steps, it's time for a delicious lunch at our favourite local cafe before driving through the Great Otway National Park. Here we’ll take an easy-moderate 3km hike through an ancient rainforest to the dreamy Beauchamp or Hopetoun Falls On our next stop we will take a stroll amongst the ‘Giants of the forest’. Photos won’t do any justice of this place. From there we’ll cruise along the iconic Great Ocean Road stopping at Apollo Bay for an optional award-winning gelato. Say G’day to some wild koalas, drop bears, king parrots & kangaroos at Kennett River and walk or swim at the beach in the surftown Lorne - or simply grab a snack before heading back to Melbourne. It is a long way but once in a lifetime roadtrip! Other things to note Grade 2: No bushwalking experience required. The track is a hardened or compacted surface. There is driving involved on this experience but the views are definitely worth it and our van is very comfy.

Want to experience Australian white sandy beaches, blue waters, and mountain tops all in one day? Join this small group, premium hiking experience! Explore the southernmost point of mainland Australia with a local Aussie guide. We arrive at Wilsons Prom and embark on our first hike for the day which takes us through beautiful terrain and emerges to the vastness of “The Big Drift” Wilsons Promontory sand dunes. An out of this world and inescapable view that can be often overlooked. Once we return we will take a small drive to the general store for some lunch. Next, it’s time for our second hike of the day, a 7.8 km return journey to the famous Mt Oberon or Mt Bishop. From the summit, you will experience arguably the best coastal views in Victoria. Our next stop is one of our favourites, Squeaky Beach. Here you can wander on the incredibly white rounded grains of quartz which make a squeaking sound giving this popular local beach its name. Finally, as we are departing the National Park, we will make a stop to see our native furry friends. There is a high chance you’ll see Wombats, Emus, Kangaroos and Wallabies going about their daily business. #hikeandseektours Other things to note Grade 3 Hiking: Suitable for most ages and fitness levels. Some bush walking experience recommended. Tracks may have steep hill sections, rough surface and many steps.
