The boat ramp is 200 metres down the road; Caves Beach is a 7 minute drive away; we are within walking distance or a short drive to the shopping village, clubs and pubs. Also, easy access to Blacksmiths Beach, Belmont, Charlestown Square Shopping Centre and Newcastle.

'The Ballast' Riverfront Retreat

This newly renovated unit boasts unobstructed views across Newcastle’s working harbor and the beautiful Ballast grounds. Includes Queen-sized bed and ensuite, with shampoo, conditioner and all linen provided. Fully equipped kitchenette with tea and coffee making facilities, toaster oven, hot plate, frypan, saucepan, sandwich maker and microwave. New Lambton, Kotara and Cardiff are a short distance or take to the nearby bushwalking tracks and explore the native wildlife at Blackbutt Reserve and stunning native birds surround us. The property is at the very start of Ironbark Creek which is a permanent creek so you will enjoy all the native wildlife that comes with that.

You have your own lounge/sitting area, kitchen/dining area and bathroom. It is one level with no steps and has 2 bedrooms, one with Queen bed & the other Double bed and King Single. Also a Steelcraft cot and high chair for babies/toddlers. Only 10 min walk from beach, Surfhouse & Beach Hotel. Air Con & Hi speed Broadband!

Our beautiful French style apartment is located on the second story or our home. It is sunny, spacious and comfortable with all you need for a long or short stay. Access is private and you have sole use of the apartment. Situated near Hunter Valley with its many wineries and the Hunter Gardens, Blackbutt Reserve, Watagan Mountains, Central Coast, Lake Macquarie, and Avondale University (all within a 3 to 40 minute drive). No cleaning fee.

This 2 bedroom cottage is a true holiday house. With beautiful views of the lake and beaches which allow the family pet within a five minute drive, water activities for all are a must. The property has a garage and plenty of room to park your boat. Pets are catered for with a large fully fenced grassed backyard. Please note I do charge $10 per pet per night refer to house rules.
