Drinks & Nightlife

Drinks, dinner and plenty of laughs are all on the menu at the Cape Town Comedy Club. Located on Dock Road in the V&A Waterfront, the club was previously known as Jou Ma Se Comedy Club. It is headed by local funny guy, Kurt Schoonraad, shows are held throughout the week. What makes this spot great for a night out is that you can enjoy a meal and a show. There's an on-site bar as well, serving a range of drinks. Visiting comedians from all over the world often feature on the line-up, but the local comics are also worth watching. If you're in the mood for a memorable night, put this on your to-do list.

Sightseeing

The Clock Tower is a truly interesting section of the Waterfront, taking its name from the central clock tower found in this part of the harbour. You access the Clock Tower either by crossing a pedestrian bridge over the water, or by taking the road that leads to the Cape Grace instead of the main Waterfront turn-off. There is a small shopping centre, a scattering of restaurants and some postcard perfect views to enjoy here. Don't forget your camera - you will want to get a shot of the iconic red clock tower!

This museum reflects a little-known aspect of the city, with a number of interesting military exhibits and a fascinating underground chamber. The fort was built in the 18th Century to protect the City of Cape Town against potential attacks. Kids will enjoy venturing around in the museum, while adults will also find it interesting.
