Best sushi in town. Top secret note- their happy hour provides 50% off sushi and drinks. BUT limited to 12 people per night. Line usually starts at 4:30 for 5:30 happy hour. But if you have an hour to kill, great sushi for a budget price!
“This is a true gem of a cafe. Very cozy and a bit hidden they really know how to make great coffee I love their cappuccinos! ”
“Great Oyster and Seafood Bar. The only downside is that this location does not take reservations. But you can call ahead and put your name on the list. Although this location is in Dupont Circle and a short walk from the metro stop, they have a location on Capitol Hill and a brand new one on the Wharf.”
“Has a great view of the capital building across the street! And the steaks are prepared to perfection.”
“1511 17th St., NW Sure, spicy food might be a Valentine’s Day cliche, but we’d be thrilled if our date took us to chef Johnny Monis’s candlelit Thai spot below Komi (and also, to Komi, but only 9 PM-and-later spots are still available). Tables for the $54 prix-fixe here are first-come, first-serve, but it’s a good idea to line up early.”
