Country Park is very popular with walkers, hikers and bikers. Features and Amenities: Two fishing lakes Guilford County Veterans' Memorial Nature, hiking, and biking trails Playgrounds Pedal boats cost $8 for 30 minutes for up to 5 people. Boats operate 10 am to 6 pm. Weekends only May 1 until May 31 Daily May 31 to August 13 Weekends only August 14 until October 31 Last boat leaves at 5:30 pm. Limited Reservations available online. Accessible Features: These accessible park feature can be reasonably accessed by someone using a mobility device: Seven picnic shelters Fishing Pier Accessible play feature with mulch surface 1.5 miles of paved trail Country Park opens daily at 8 am, weather permitting except closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas days. Country Park is great for families. It is located next to the Greensboro Science Center and offers playgrounds, walking and biking trails, Snow balls and paddle boats in the Spring/Summer. There is also the Carousel located in between Country Park and the Greensboro Science Center.
