“The beauty of having 125-kilometres of coastline (seriously, so much beach) means there is an abundance of white sandy beaches in the Coastal Bay of Plenty. Pāpāmoa Beach is located just down the coast from Mount Maunganui and is a destination in itself. You can access the beach by walking through the park on Topaz drive, along Allan Place then over the sand dunes. It's only 400 metres away so an easy walk to get there. Alternatively if you walk to the end of Topaz Drive (towards the shops), turn left down Domain Road to the end, you can access the patrolled part of the beach either by foot or a short drive. For those with kids, there is a free toy library here consisting of various sand toys to use while you visit. This can be found on the right hand side walkway through the carpark at the Domain Road entrance. ”
