On Maisonnave you'll find plenty of shops and two Corte Inglés (one at each end of the street). On the crossing and parallel streets, you'll also find plenty of shops.
The avenue where there are all the big franchises are and El Corte Inglés (2 buildings) with anything you might need in the air conditioning :)
This is the main avenue for shopping in Alicante. You will find Zara, Mango, Berska, El Corte Inglés. Around that Avenue, you can find many others shops of Spanish designers very nice a good quality as Purificación Garcia, Bimba y Lola, Adolfo Dominguez.

“Esplanada Alicante. A must when visiting Alicante. Have a nice walk in the evening and look at local merchandises, sit down and enjoy a drink. I don´t recommend any of the restaurants here. Have a look at "Sale & Pepe " which guides you to the restaurant area - 5 min walk from the esplanada. ”
