Passeig Esplanada d'Espanya
A walk on the Expanada de España is a nice thing to do, a lot of indoor and outoor restaurants, covered by the big trees- it's a good ascape form direct sun on hot summer days.
Esplanada Alicante. A must when visiting Alicante. Have a nice walk in the evening and look at local merchandises, sit down and enjoy a drink. I don´t recommend any of the restaurants here. Have a look at "Sale & Pepe " which guides you to the restaurant area - 5 min walk from the esplanada.
If you are in the centre of Alicante must walk thru this famous street where you can find small shops and restaurants side by side.
“Fantastic Views of the City. Interesting history about the moor conquest and past”
“The archeological museum of Alicante is just a few blocks from the apt. And in the area past the large roundabout going North is Al Campo a huge shopping mall and supermarket where you can find anything!”
“This area is very histórical, and it has many tapas bars and night bars. It is the quartier before the skirting of the castle. iIf you feel romantic, around the corner from the Cathedral you can have a drink in a beautiful place, Hotel Boutique Palacete XVII, they have a tiny cafe/bar under the stone stair case.”
“Museo de Arte del Siglo XX - Museo de la Asegurada (Museum of XX century art) - is located in Plaza de Santa María. The museum has a very interesting collection of paintings of the 20th century: works by Kandinsky, Marriage, Ernst, Chagall, Picasso, Giacometti, Gris, Miro, as well as works by Spanish artists of the generation of the 50s: Alfaro, Kanogar, Mompo, Saura, Tapies, Sabel, Viola.”
“El Postiguet beach is located in the heart of the city at the foot of Santa Barbara Castle. It is a beautiful beach, awarded the Blue Flag, certifying the quality of the EU. It has a tongue of sand over 900m in length and is noted for its fine white sand bordered by a fantastic full promenade of palms trees (the Esplanade) . El Postiguet beach is one of the best beaches near Alicante.”
