If you are thinking to come to Tauranga, you must visit our main attraction "the mount". There are few walks around it base and you can climb to the top, to have a great panoramic view. The main beach is always a nice place to spend the day with a small walk to Leisure Island and with restaurants…
Climb to the top for photos to die for. Walk around its base and watch the cruise ships and freighters enter and leave the harbours narrow entrance. Swim in the waves of the Pacific Ocean and have fun in the sun on white sandy beaches. Or try the harbour side for calmer waters.
Beautiful beach, bars, restaurants and walks (up and/ or around the mount. A must do if you're from out of town. Take the toll road to get there in 15-20mins.
“Really popular all round Shopping Centre 5 minutes away with a good selection of restaurants, food mall and Countdown.”
“If you like nature and views I recommend walking yourself up Papamoa Hills. You can see most of the Bay of Plenty and also look over to the Mount. Allow 45-60 mins for up and down (dependent on your fitness level and walking pace). ”
“Total relaxation at the heart of Mount Maunganui. Beneath the majesty of Mauao relax and unwind in the only hot ocean water complex in the world! 20 minute drive to enjoy the healing properties of bathing in heated salt water and top it off with a massage from our friendly and experienced therapists to really treat your body.”
“Located in Tauranga this one but is one on the Mount, always a good selection of movies on, in Mount is located straight across from Coronation Park”
