Old-school Italian restaurant with an authentic feel, whitewashed dining room and copper bar.
A family-run Italian with turbot bigger than my face! Their service is outstanding!
Italian restaurant. Always really busy, smells incredible. I've never eaten there, but keep meaning to as it looks incredible every time I jog past Note: Airbnb reports their old address. They've moved to 70 Wapping Wall
“‘Famous for fish’ & an Essex legend since 1958, Smith’s Brasserie is now peddling its piscine wares just a stone’s throw from Tower Bridge (spectacular views guaranteed). Like its elder sibling in Ongar, this outlet focuses on sustainable seafood, with a familiar, user-friendly menu that hauls in everything from sardines & scallops to salmon & skate. Lobsters & crabs also figure prominently, alongside plates of deep-fried calamari with garlic mayo, monkfish meunière, & halibut steak with brown butter & capers. Meat eaters & veggies have their say with the likes of roast rump of lamb or warm goats’ cheese on beetroot salad, while puds could feature Brit standbys such as Eton mess or Bakewell tart. Plenty of fish-friendly wines are on hand to seal the deal.”
“Interesting pub for just a drink, or food (especially Sunday roast)... a nice crowd-less walk following the river.”
“Amazing coffee house with such good coffee and lunchtime food. Great smoothies too!”
“Another historic riverside pub, one not to miss. Nice little terrace with heaters and river views.”
