Lovely walks - 6 mile circular walk. Cafe and Parking. Leads onto Loe Bar (no swimming) and you could walk into Porthleven.

PENROSE Drive to Penrose Estate in Helston and walk or cycle through the 6 miles of woodland paths around Loe Pool, the largest natural freshwater lake in Cornwall stopping off at the Stables Cafe for a cup of tea and slice of cake.

A lovely wooded walk through Penrose Estate to Loe Bar. There is also the Stables cafe for light refreshments.

Park your car in the car park opposite the boating lake. Last time we went the car park was still free! Pick up the path that follows the river, travel through the Penrose estate. Before you overlook Loe beach there is a welcome cafe where you can stop for a drink. Carry on the path and it will take you all the way to Porthleven along the cliffs. Once in Porthleven there are shops, cafes, harbourside restaurants and pubs. If you don't want to walk back, then pick up the bus from the village central bus stop and it will take you back to the boating lake, buses normally run every hour.
