www.acmeoyster.com (12 minutes/8.6 miles). The original Acme Cafe (now Oyster House) opened in the New Orleans French Quarter in 1910 and opened in Gulf Shores in 2013. Raw and chargrilled oysters, gumbo, étouffée, red beans & rice, jambalaya, crawfish, seafood platters, Po-boys, wings, hamburger…
My favorite for Seafood. The grilled oysters are amazing! Located on the canal with inside and outside tables. There's a beach for the kids. Lulu's is directly across the river. That's a fun touristy place but the food at ACME is far superior.
“I've never had anything bad here. You can't go wrong with anything and they will start you out with the best "Swamp Soup" you've ever had!”
“Great place to visit, on Gulf Shore Beach, the food is good and the beach is awesome.”
“Visit www.LuLuBuffett.com to get on the waitlist before you go, save time!!”
“The combination of Crab Claws and Royal Reds keeps us coming back. The stuffed fish is also a favorite.”
