If we had a battle cry, it would be “Fingers not forks!” Tacolicious isn’t a taqueria by any standards, but we encourage eating in the spirit of one. Our menu incorporates six different tacos, as well as seasonal salads, a Tombo tuna tostada and more.
“Not your typical Mexican fare”, the “inventive” tacos and other “tasty” small plates at these “high-energy” taquerias are “full of surprises”; expect a “constant party” in the “hip” surrounds, which all have outdoor tables, and if there’s a “wait” (they’re no-reservations), bartenders mixing “mean…
The best small Taco Tapas right on the fabulous Valencia Corridor. It gets crowded, but the wait is so worth it
Casual Cal- Mex. Open all day with bar. Good outdoor area. Has Mosto bar right next door. Tacos and tuna tostada are yum. I also like their Marina Girl Salad with Chicken.
“One of our favorite pizzeria! The line may be long so go during non peak dinning time, or put your name there and walk around have a drink!”
“Millennials love to stand in lines. Go mid-morning on weekdays to avoid long lines. But, the food is well worth it! Riches beyond your wildest dreams: butter-golden pains au chocolat, cappuccinos with ferns drawn in dense foam and croque monsieurs turbo-loaded with ham, two kinds of cheese and béchamel. Don't be dismayed by the inevitable line out the door – it moves fast – but be aware that lolling in Dolores Park is the only possible post-Tartine activity.”
“Best ever fish dish! Is a fancy beautiful restaurant to take someone special. ”
“Stop by here on your way to and back from Dolores Park for some of the best ice cream this city has to offer. Try the Salted Caramel!”
“When the weather is nice, you can barely see the grass due to the throngs of people lounging around. Luckily, the park was recently renovated and is big enough that you're bound to find a spot you like. The southwest corner is good for a panoramic view of the city skyline (and usually far enough away from the folks enjoying their herbal refreshments on the northern slope). There's also a nice kid's playground, although it's geared more towards older kids.”
