Macon Bistro & Larder

Macon, Georgia meets Macon, France in this neighborhood favorite located in the historic Chevy Chase arcade. The South shines in the appetizers and sides while the wine list and entrees like the Bistro Steak and the Mock Scallops highlight the restaurant's sleek and sophisticated French style – see the crystal chandeliers at the front. Uniquely designed cocktails, like That’s My Jam and Put on Your Sailing Shoes, are a must, and if that sweet tooth persists, try the rotating selection of personal pies or the fruit preserves from the Larder – Southern term for pantry.
Delicious food! Good drink menu and nice ambiance. Serves weekend brunch and dinner.
Cuisine re-interprets southern cooking through the lens of a traditional French bistro.

Grocery or Supermarket
“When you need more than the local market. Also provides money orders and pharmacy items. Note: DC charges $.05 per bag. Bring your own if you don't want to pay!”
“Large gritty gym with the basics but not great equipment and not in great shape. Will take guest / nonmembers for a fee. Only 1 lifting platform with bumper plates. Cardio in front of TVs but the sound is off (wireless headphones work). There is a "cardio stupio" which plays horrible movies in a dark room for you to cardio to and escape reality. Mediocre but works when you need to work. You can park on top of the gym (up the ramp) for another fee. ”
