Wonderful hiking experience for hikers of all ages. The trails are well mapped and there are easy trails around the base of Piestewa Peak or make it to the top in less than an hour to see excellent views of the valley of the sun!

Good hike in town but small parking lot, go early and always bring plenty of water!

This is serious hike. Much like a stair stepper. Great views at Camelback Mountain and of Phoenix. I would not recommend for first time hikers.

Be prepared if you want to hike the summit. It is a 2.1 mile hike but with almost 1,200’ elevation gain. There are also several other trails with great views. Beautiful wildflowers in the spring.
