Joshua McFadden is the chef and now owner of this stellar trattoria with Roman inspired eats. The motto is "Locally Sourced. Aggressively Seasonal," which means the best local produce and meats raised by Pacific Northwest farmers make their way into a menu of antipasti, giardini, hand-made (down to the house-milled flour) pasta, secondi, and contorni.
Wonderful restaurant on SE Division - might want to try and get a reservation for this one!
Great Italian by one of Portland's buzziest chefs (Joshua McFadden). A PDX essential. Reservations available via Resy. If you walk-in, prepare to wait about an hour- we like to wait with a cocktail at the Whiskey Soda Lounge just down the street.
The two best things on the menu are the burrata and any of their pasta’s. Better Italian food than Italy. They fill up weeks in advance, so you should make a reservation. They also started doing brunch...and it's incredible.
Calling it Italian food doesn't do it justice. One of the best restaurants in town.
“Yeah. It’s that good!!! Make sure you try as many flavors as you want before you commit. Get a tub to-go!”
“This is a delightful spot that offers authentic Indian street food and cuisine. Funky vibe with Bollywood hits playing in the background. Def try the Thumbs Up cola in the bottle! ”
“Don’t be fooled by the other locations. This is the real one and worth the wait! World famous chef Andy Ricker’s first place. The spicy wings are so addictive you want to order more. And the spicy boar collar , (just ask them) is the best thing on the menu. This is my favorite place to eat in Portland. ”
“Can you say Black-bottom Banana Cream Pie!!!! This place does a great job on breakfast, lunch and well....pie. Pie, pie and more pie. Did I mention the pie !!!!!?????”
