The science museum is easy to get to on the piccadilly line from Northfields station and is fantastic for kids. Go early in the morning to beat the queues

All science, all the time. You'll find space ships, engine parts, interactive areas and more. Free (except for the special exhibitions) and worth popping into, but of the three South Kensington Museums, this is my least fave, but it's still good. If you have kids, though, it's a must! 10-12…

Food is great too. You can get their directly on the circle or district line from Aldgate or Aldgate East takes around 30 minutes ”
