St Mawes Castle
Great views, very good audio guide, can be reached by ferry from Falmouth which makes it a fun trip.
Great view over the bay, if you don't want to go in follow the footpath to the right along the coast for a fantastic walk.
Ancient castle, paired with Pendennis Castle at Falmouth to protect the estuary.
St Mawes Castle is among the best-preserved of Henry VIII's coastal artillery fortresses, and the most elaborately decorated of them all. It is an English Heritage property and well worth a visit. Walk from St Mawes harbour along the waters edge.
