Think speakeasy meets New Orleans. Global small plates, sushi & cocktails, plus DJs spinning after 10 PM, in a hip, cozy setting.
One of my personal favorites to take your friends or significant other. great cocktail, wine and delicious foods.
As you ascend the wrought iron staircase to Soul Gastrolounge, you are met with intoxicating smells coming from the restaurant, as well as skyline views of Charlotte. Soul does not take reservations, so expect to wait for a table, but it’s worth it. Lamb lollipops with rosemary, pork belly tacos…
“This is the first place you come to when venturing out of Chantilly. Great place to meet people and get tasty craft brews with a view of uptown. They have food now as well!”
“Popular spot offering draft brews & deli sandwiches amid a convenience store, plus outdoor seating. Open since 2002, Common Market became the go-to destination for anybody and everybody. Known for their deli-style cuisine, beer and wine selection and, of course, their coffee, Common Market is open 365 days a year and should be at the top of your list next time you need a quick breakfast or lunch!”
“I only recommend this place if you are just looking to drink at a iconic neighborhood dive bar. Cool place to see locals. They have food but I don't recommend it, unless you get tater tots with chili and cheese on it.”
“Have them make you a black & tan with the Mexicali Stout & Jalapeno Pale Ale”
“Intimate gastropub with craft beer, elevated bar fare & specialty cocktails, plus outdoor space. One of the new kids on the block, The Workman’s Friend is Plaza Midwood’s own Irish pub. Apart from their awesome environment (two fireplaces — one in, one out — and a perfect outdoor patio), they have amazing drinks (including a killer Irish coffee) and the best fish and chips. Between the pub atmosphere, delish drinks and authentic food, The Workman’s Friend is definitely worth checking out.”
