“Great place to lie on the beach, paddle board and kayak on Currumbin creek which runs into the ocean. The Currumbin Creek waterway and the Alley, the entrance to the ocean, offer a protected and patrolled haven for all kinds of active water sports. There is good Flathead and Bream fishing off the rock wall or Taylor off the beach. Currumbin also has a gorgeous right-hand surf break which is a specialty for graceful longboard riders. ”
“Cheap and authentic- one of the best Japanese on the coast, a gem in the suburbs! BYO alcohol.”
“TASCA- An intimate wine bar and restaurant, the cheese board and gnocchi are my picks on the menu. Definitely a local favourite of mine”
“Historical restaurant, reasonably priced with a nice little bar that has an open fire in the winter”
“While you can get your fill of authentic yakitori and Japanese eats, it is Iku’s atmospheric back bar, lined with hard-to-find Japanese whiskies, that’s well deserving of a spot among the best bars on the Gold Coast. Owned by the same crew behind long-standing favourite, Estu, Iku’s ridic fit out and weekly evolving cocktail menu is next level awesome. ”
