The Lindenhof in the old town of Zürich is the historical site of the Roman castle, and the later Carolingian Kaiserpfalz. It is situated on the Lindenhof hill, on the left side of the Limmat River at the Schipfe.
The Lindenhof is one of my favourite places in Zurich. It is a place where to contemplate, have a pick nick, exercise, study....
This little park is just in the middle of the old town a bit up. Grab a Sandwich at the grocery and enjoy the view over the river and the old town while sitting on the wall (take care that you don't fall).
Another good spot to see the city from another view, besides you stroll through the old town, which is so nice.
“if you get a chance to go up the tower, you'll be rewarded with a great view over the city. ”
“Great view over the city on the top of the mountain called Uetliberg. The train akes about 20-30 min from the mainstation (Zurich HB) to Uetliberg. ”
“From High End brands to casual street wear - Bahnhofsstrasse has it all. Recommend going there for a walk, many great food options along the way.”
“Church in the Old Town With Windows by Chagall and Giacometti. Built on the remains of a former abbey for aristocratic women which was founded in 853 by Louis the German.”
