You can make your way to Batu Feringhi which takes about 30 minutes drive. These are where all the beaches and hotels are. Hardrock Hotel is there too if you like the shirts. You can go there from 5pm onwards. There will be a night market along the streets of Batu Feringhi. A new Starbucks by the beach is there too. There are classy restaurants like the SHIP. It's a must try.

Batu Ferringhi is a beach resort northwest of George Town, on Malaysia’s Penang Island. It’s known for water sports and seafood restaurants. Street food, household goods and batik clothing are sold at the seafront night market. Batik pieces are also on display at local galleries and shops. Batu Ferringghi is the tourist belt and lots and lots of night life. I recommend you reach there by 6pm, and stroll the beaches and watch sunset. Then proceeds to Ferringghi Gardens for a beautiful dinner you will not forget, by just stretching the budget a bit on this eatery. Then hit the night markets just on the turn, and get ready to bargain!
