Take advantage of the free tram within Melbourne as long as it is within the free tram zone, (there is a map for it). Catch a tram from Swanston or Elizabeth st, explore Bourke St Mall, enjoy the walk, listening to buskers, shopping, café and a lot more.

Just two stops on the train, Bourke St Mall in Melbourne CBD has all the shops you could wish for - David Jones, Myers, H&M, and more couture boutiques if you're that way inclined

Everything you need is in the block. Collin Street for high end shopping or Brunswick and Collingwood a short tram ride for something a little different.
