If you thought big party places only open in Berlin or Barcelona, this new activist dance club, bar, grocery store, and shop in a former barn will be a nice surprise. The look is retro and colonial, with mis-matched furniture on a checked floor. I like to go early to listen to African beats for a relaxed and chill kick-off to the night. It’s very popular, so aim to arrive before 8 pm on weekdays or after midnight on weekends. Sundays at 7 pm they host a free screening of an activist movie or documentary.
Very cool place to have drinks between friends and taste good cocktails! The decoration is very surprising!
Gorgeous space with plants, many rooms, a shop and very good cocktails. Nothing comparable to this in the neighborhood !
This place is a little too much, if you know what I mean. A little bit unexpected, a little bit hipster, a little bit overprice, a lit bit worth it, and definitely weird.
This is the ultimate ‘hipster’ venue, the culmination of canal trendiness and a self-proclaimed temple to ghetto culture. The museum and thrift shop are decorated with typewriters, old maps, and fossils (making for delightful daytime rummaging). Meanwhile two Afro-Caribbean themed bars serving up…
