You might recognize the outside as being a London filming location for the movie Notting Hill, too. It’s where Julia Roberts’ character was filming a movie based on a Henry James novel. There are also plenty of sports fields in the south of the Heath, wooded areas in the north, and grassy areas in between, making it easy to find whatever kind of outdoor space suits your tastes.

Kenwood House dates back to the 17th Century. Following an extensive repair and conservation project, Kenwood is now open to the public and houses some impressive restoration of its interiors as The Great Library and some amazing examples of classical art from 17th and 18th Century period including Rembrandt and Vermeer. It also has an indoor and outdoor eating near to stop for food and refreshments.

A hidden gem! An old house with an impressive art collection (including a Vermeer!) and lovely gardens to wander around if the weather is good.

Stately home (and recently restored Dairy nearby). Small but superb art collection - Vermeer, Rembrandt, Hals, Reynolds, Gainsborough, etc. Excellent cafe in converted stables block.
