“明治神宫是日本神道的重要神社，位于涩谷区原宿一带的代代木公园北侧，是东京市中心除皇居外最大的一块绿地。这里供奉着明治天皇及昭宪皇太后的灵位。每年都有很多人来此参拜祈福，尤其在元旦时参拜人数特别多。 这个神宫由正殿、内苑、外苑和明治纪念馆（一般作为婚礼会场）组成，内苑有御苑和宝物殿，外苑有体育场等设施。进入神宫有南、北、西三条用碎石铺的参拜甬道，踩上去会沙沙响，不太好走。每条参道的入口处都有日本神社的标志性建筑——鸟居，也就是日式牌楼。”
