Up and coming area Tøyen is now the trendiest area in Oslo. Cafe/bar/restaurants in Tøyen Torg and the beautiful Tøyen Park is worth a visit
Tøyen is the new, hip place to eat and drink. It used to be very trashy, and now it has changed to a popular place to visit. It is placed above the Tøyen Subway, and you can get sushi, thai, fresh bakery, nice drinks, good cooffee, library, flowers, pharmacy. My favorites is "Postkontoret" and the…
Metro to all directions and almost all locations! About 4 minutnes (the second stop) to get to Oslo central station.
Munch museum, Botanical garden, Tøyen torg with bars and restaurants.
“Stort matvaresenter, klesbutikker, Clas Ohlsson og caféer. Buss 23 går direkte fra oss til dem. ”
“The closes buss-stop for 37-bus that takes you to the city center all the way up to St. Haugen which is a great area.”
“Take Buss 20 to Torshov if you want to get to Grünerløkka. You can also take it further to Majorstua if you want to get to Holmenkollen (where the ski jump is). Majortua is the west side of Oslo so it is a little bit more high end and expensive. A lot of shopping there too. ”
“Walk around here as well for very cosy neighborhood and old charming houses. Visit Kampen bistro for great food and beers while you are here.”
“The old part of Oslo. Take a walk in the area and look at the old tree houses. In summer its nice to take a walk along the Alna river in Svartdalen, just 5 minutes away. Enjoy fine dining at the restaurant Smia or try for example butter chicken at Jordal Haveli. You will also find thai, sushi, burgere and pizza places in the area. You can also take a walk to Kampen and eat at Kampen bistro. ”
