So much to do for everyone! For kids there is a park and a fountain sprinkler that has a light show. There are trails and plenty of spaces for to play outdoor sports, read a book, or have a picnic. Awesome park.

“Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park, at 3540 Thomasville Rd., .5 mi. n. of I-10 exit 203 on US 319, consists of more than 1,100 acres, including 28 acres of ornamental gardens that are the focal point of the park. The Maclay House has restored living and dining rooms and serves as a center for information about the Maclays, camellias and the gardens. Nearly 8 miles of hiking, biking and horse trails run through the park, which also features a picturesque picnic/recreation area with covered shelters, a swimming area, a paddleboat launch, rental kayak and a playground. Audio tours of the gardens are available. Recreational activities are permitted. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum. Admission: Park $6 (per private vehicle with two to eight people); $4 (per single-occupancy vehicle); $2 (per person arriving by bicycle or on foot). “Good theatre, we typically travel to this one over the one by Governors Square Mall. The other option (CMX falls chase just opened this year, and we haven't been to it yet). ”

“It takes 22 minutes to get to the stadium on non- gamedays without traffic. Gameday: plan for traffic and give yourself plenty of time, it should take less than 30 minutes, but it depends on how close to game time you're at. Gaines street is always busy- I would avoid it going and coming. We tend to take apalachee, right on Monroe, Left on W. Pensacola to the stadium. On the way back, St. Augustine St runs parallel to Gaines but is much faster. ”
