The Tennessee Aquarium takes visitors on a remarkable journey from the mountains to the sea. With amazing animals that swim, fly and crawl in natural habitats.
My family LOVES going to the aquarium! From Chattanooga’s northshore, you can walk there by crossing the Walnut Street pedestrian bridge, or you can take a short ride on the FREE electric shuttle. If you visit during warm weather with your kids, be sure to bring along the kids’ swimsuits or change…
Tennessee Aquarium is wonderful and worth it! There are 2 different buildings: 1. lakes & rivers 2. oceans...both are worth it:) IMAX movies are shown across the street and tickets can be bought together at the Aquarium. 30-35 minutes away
An awesome aquarium for fresh and salt water animal life. They also have a greenhouse tropical setting with birds and can touch the sting rays if you want.
Everything from sharks, stingray, turtles and playful otters to the beautiful butterfly enclosure - great for all the family and wheelchair accessible.
“If you enjoy museums, the Hunter is a worthwhile visit, featuring US colonial art through modern day.”
“Rock City is on Lookout Mtn (15 minutes) away. It fun for kids as they walk the trails around massive rocks. The Christmas lights are worth seeing from Thanksgiving to New Years ”
“This is a gorgeous spot to enjoy the river. There are huge fountains for kids to play in as well as a carousel. Lots of good eating close by.”
“Another local favorite in the Southside district, between St. Elmo and downtown. Their food and drink menu is worth the visit! They also have a great patio area for when the weather is nice.”
