Amazing food and great wine in the historic and famous neighborhood of DuPont Circle. Great outdoor patio as well.
All you can eat brunch of middle eastern fare. Little bit of a less touristy place; locals love
Fantastic Mediterranean/Turkish food. Go for dinner or lunch, but avoid brunch.
“If you're LBGT this is the party spot. Sunday brunch is quite an experience there too. Drag Queens and such.”
“Pharmacy right by Giant Supermarket, You can get all your needs there. There is also a dry cleaner and some eateries along the same block.”
“This is one of our favorite go-to restaurants in DC. It's a cab or Uber ride away, but worth the trip. The food is well-done Italian, the wine list is excellent. Located in an old townhouse near Dupont Circle, Dito's Bar in the basement is a cozy, welcoming spot. If you see our friend Dito bartending, make sure to tell him we said hello. Upstairs, the dining rooms are cozy, quiet and quaint. It's our favorite neighborhood restaurant. ”
“Great Oyster and Seafood Bar. The only downside is that this location does not take reservations. But you can call ahead and put your name on the list. Although this location is in Dupont Circle and a short walk from the metro stop, they have a location on Capitol Hill and a brand new one on the Wharf.”
“I love Cairo Wine & Liquor. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They have a huge selection of beer (they have a huge fridge in the back where they keep cases and kegs...see the list next to the beer), a surprisingly good selection of wine, and all of the normal liquor store staples. All the guys who work there are great. They know you by name hmm... maybe I drink too much) and always seem like they are happy at work--unusual for most places.”
