The Vasa museum holds the only preserved seventeenth-century ship in the world and a unique art treasure. More than 95 percent of the ship is original, and it is decorated with hundreds of carved sculptures. The 69 meter-long warship Vasa sank on its maiden voyage in the middle of Stockholm in 1628…
The Vasa ship capsized and sank in Stockholm 1628. After 333 years on the sea bed the mighty warship was salvaged and the voyage could continue. Today Vasa is the world's best preserved 17th century ship and the most visited museum in Scandinavia.
World’s best preserved shipwreck, magnificent to be around. A lot of effort has been put in reconstructing the life in the 17th century.
The museum displays the only almost fully intact 17th century ship that has ever been salvaged.
One of the most famous museums of the world. Come and see a fully equipped galant Royal Navy warship from the 1500s. Buried for centuries on the bottom of the ocean in oxygen poor waters the Vasa warship was utterly conserved with all its load and equipment as well. A unique museum and a must see.

“Fotografiska is the largest photography museum in the world. They are founded 2010 and showcase the greatest photographers, whether they’re just emerging artists, or already famous internationally. Fotografiska also has an excellent restaurant with a sustainable approach by sourcing food locally, focus on low-impact ingredients out of concern for environmental impact, and minimize food waste. Also has a great view!”
“Wether you're a family, friends or a couple, a day at the amusement park is always fun. Here you can easily spend the whole day and its nice to take the boat over on a summer day.”
“Stockholm’s own Selfridges for shopping. The kitchen area downstairs is very nice and I recommend their food selections.”
