Recreation area between Maridalsvannet and Kjelsåsveien. Frysja art senter is situated in the old factory buildings by the river.

Recreation area by Maridalsvannet lake at the northern end of the Akerselva river, next to a waterfall and the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology. The area is popularly used for swimming, fishing and as a starting point for walks along the river.
