The park is a beautiful place for hiking with many trails throughout the park. The Big Tooth Maples and Spanish Oak trees make it a colorful place in the fall.
A State Park with fabulous trails and you'll travel beautiful roads to get there.
One of our favorite places to bird and hike. Several hikes for various ability levels. Take a picnic!
“Garner State Park is a great place to hike year round. In the summer it's also a great spot to play in the Frio River. They have dances at night in the summer for families as well. It's a very popular spot!”
“Lost Maples Winery is less than a mile from the Hilltop River Hideaway. It's a fantastic place to relax, try local wines, and take in the hill country views. They often have live music on their outdoor patio in the summer and fall on Saturday afternoons.”
“Beautifully preserved. Secluded and wild. You can hike, mtn bike, or horseback ride through the trails. Our neighborhood has it's own entrance to the park, but your first time is must be from the main entrance to purchase a pass. ”
“The Laurel Tree is an amazing place with excellent food! Their fields are full of poppies in the Spring and Laurel goes all out decorating for Christmas. You can even dine in the treehouse! Hours are limited and they are always full so make your reservations well in advance!”
