Heldenplatz is a famous square just across the Austrian National Library. It's a walking distance to the Museum of Natural History and the National Art museum, the city hall and Burgtheater (the most important theater in Austria).
“Traditional Austrian restaurant with a good cook. Perfect for brunches, lunches or dinners.”
“The Volksgarten and Burggarten are close by and you can reach them by food. I love the Rose garden and like to sit in the grass in front of the Theseus Temple. These gardens ("Burggarten") were once the private gardens of Emperor Franz Joseph I., the husband of the Empress Sisi. In 1919, three years after the monarch's death, the Burggarten was opened to the public. The gardens of the Imperial Palace also contain the Palm House, one of the most beautiful art nouveau glass houses. This tropical oasis includes the Butterfly House where hundreds of exotic butterflies reside today, along with a very atmospheric coffee house and restaurant.”
