Monserrat Mountain is a must see if you like nature and hiking. Known for being a holy mountain, there you have amazing views and It's easy to get to the Montserrat Benedictine monastery by yourself. You don't need a tour. Montserrat ("serrated mountain") is an hour's journey by FGC train from Barcelona's Placa d'Espanya station. Take the R5 line in the direction of Manresa. The train departs about every hour.

In the area of Montserrat, there are may things to do. You can spend a whole day there doing some trekking, visiting the monstery or listening to fantastic voices of the children in the chorus.
