The aim of the Museu d'Història de Catalunya is to showcase the history of Catalonia as a shared heritage, to preserve key objects from the history of Catalonia, and to help the community identify more strongly with their national history. In order to achieve its aim, the museum develops a historic narrative through its displays and organizes activities to disseminate and promote the history of Catalonia.

Not only is this a Catalonia history museum, but there is a secret rooftop terrace/bar/restaurant with couches, umbrellas etc. Enter the museum and head to the top floor. You will normally see someone outside the entrance door leaning on a podium. Great views which make the drinks a bit more expensive, but a fantastic place to watch the sunset.

In the terrace, that's totally free and open to the public you can find a nice spot to catch one of the nicest views of the port of barcelona. Please don't hesitate to ask me how to get there, but it's really easy, you get into the museum but go directly by the elevator to the top floor, the terrace one and you will find it
