This is the most famous Dutch steak restaurant in Amsterdam and this specific location is the first Loetje restaurant. It’s old, really Dutch and tasteful. If you go there, please try the regular steak or steak Bali, with fries, bread and salade. This is where they are famous for. Note: if you don’t like a lot of butter, then don’t try this!;)

I bet you’ve never tasted beef like a Loetje beef. There are multiple locations throughout the city. Tastebuds explosion!

For the real Dutch steak. Always busy. You cannot book a table. There are several Café Loetje venues in and around Amsterdam!

A restaurant specializing in steak, French fries and a salad. Popular with locals and busy. You can only make a reservation if you are with 4 or more. Otherwise just walk in and ask what the wait time is. If you are okay waiting (usually around 20 to 30 minutes) then give your name to the barman, have a drink at the bar and they will call you when a table is ready (6 minute walk).
