Craft beers & cocktails, smart wine list, & daily menu that reflects a strong "farm to table" philosophy. Set in the bucolic Catskill Mountains, just a few steps from the Stony Clove Creek, with a covered patio and cozy fireplace in a 1920's Tavern, newly restored by brothers Peter & Michael Diaz.
A bit more upscale than some of the other places with a nice menu and an even nicer beer list – Downtown Phoenicia
Our top goto. The food is savory, the atmosphere friendly. The owners are former NYC natives that have made this their livelihood. Summer months provide opportunities to dine on the porch to the background of Stony Clove Creek.
“Excellent diner with full menu. Great wood fired pizza! Good breakfast. Center of Phoenicia.”
“Our favorite upstate resturant. be sure to get a reservation as it fills up fast. Stake options are second to none.”
“40 Minutes Away. This is a bit of jaunt but my husband and I like to hike Peekamouse Mountain (it's right by the blue hole and the drive is incredible) and then head over to Phoenica Diner for lunch and then do grocery shopping in Woodstock. The food is solid basics but is kind of a Brooklyn scene as of late (which is totally fine by me but some people get annoyed by Brooklyn-ization of upstate).”
“Our favorite local spot for breakfast. The pancakes and breakfast tacos are great.”
“Homey eatery offering familiar Mexican fare, cocktails & numerous beers in casual digs with a patio. The Mexican food is meh (I’m picky and love to travel to Mexico) This is the local “Cheers” hangout.”
