This is the famous Orangerie Park, which includes a small Zoo. You can spend a great time thee will your kids.
Nice French style with an artificial lake and café. Playground for kids, very relaxed.
It's green, lots of lawn to sit on for a picnic, the rose garden in season, the sharing library, there's a lake with canoe/boat rentals, it's big enough to provide some distance if you want to get away from the crowds near the restaurant & lake, the list goes on.
The big park in town, with something for almost everyone: from romantic boat tours on the lake, to tiny cars for children, or skate park for teenagers, and big tour for joggers. And even a zoo and storks all around!
“It is truly impossible to visit Strasbourg without wandering in the streets of La Petite France (Small France)... Romantic small streets, little canal, busy restaurants, ... The name of the area sounds lovely, but it actually refers to the hospital where soldiers were being quarantined ... so much for the romanticism... ;-) ... but really the area is lovely .... ”
“The MAMC in Strasbourg houses permanent and temporary exhibitions with artists like Monet, Sisley, Magritte, Ernst, Kandinsky. The centerpiece of the museum is a majestic work by Gustave Doré entitled Le Preatorium which is over 9 m high. The museum is a great entrypoint into Strasbourg centre.”
“This is a beautiful building that will take you back a few hundred years. The museum is dedicated to local craft, popular culture from the XIXth century. Very pleasant to visit in the city centre”
“Beautiful cathedral, and paid entry (small fee, less than 5€) to go up its tower, from which you get a beautiful view that overlooks the whole town”
