Legion of Honor
This museum makes me feel like I'm in Europe. I did many art classes in here copying old masters pieces of arts.
One of two museums owned by the City & County of San Francisco, years of gifts from wealthy San Franciscians has built up a wide-ranging collection of art from across the Western World.
A near by home museum where locals enjoy. A lot less foot traffic than the de Young
“The photo is out of date as remodeled. Historic ocean view restaurant with Lands End parking lots uphill. Do not leave anything of value inside car if driving as car breakins occur all over the city, especially in tourist spots.”
“Pagan is the Central Richmond's answer to the Inner Richmond's Mandalay and Burma Superstar. Pagan isn't as famous as the other two Burmese spots in the Richmond, but still excellent with the added bonuses of shorter wait times and more neighborhood street parking. Samusa soup is a favorite. ”
“Theatre walking distance away. Watch a show, have dinner all on foot, make it a relaxing evening. ”
“Local owners for excellent brunches, lunch, and dinners. Try their Japanese breakfast, and homemade waffle dish, homemade fried chicken is delish!”
“The de Young often features traveling exhibits from all over the world. It's in a fantastic modernist building which has a tower that you can go up (free of charge) for a great view of Golden Gate Park and the surrounding city.”
